About Simon
I pride myself as a high quality independent Cabinet Maker, Antique Restorer, Bespoke Furniture maker and French Polisher with over 3 decades of experience, running my business from my workshop in the beautiful County of Pembrokeshire only 2 miles from the magnificent coastline of St. Brides Bay.

I left school at the age of 16 and took up an apprenticeship with Master Craftsmen at a restoration workshop in the heart of the Midlands, learning all the traditional ways of restoration used over many, many years.

I run a small specialist business and offer traditional detailed restoration, Hand French polishing, Inlay and Marquetry work and Bespoke Furniture these being just a few of the furniture related talents that I possess. I only use traditional methods and materials when restoring antique furniture. Where possible I will source my materials locally. Although I am based in Pembrokeshire I have worked in properties and restored pieces throughout the U.K. I offer a collection and delivery service and always on hand to provide quotes, full written quotes for Insurance purposes on request.

I am an expert in restoration and repair preserving your heirlooms for future generations. Antique furniture is always restorable no matter how great the damage, I can lovingly transform your furniture back to its original state. I offer complete sympathetic restoration programmes from touching up scratches to complicated dismantling, including complete rebuilds. I also do all my own hand carvings. I can, and have copied and designed customer’s pieces of furniture to exact specifications, to restore a pair, or even up a set due to damage, destruction, or lost through inheritance, lovingly taking your furniture back to its original state.

I am in my workshop most days but please do call in advance in case I am working off site, I have ample parking in my driveway. I will then be able to assess the work needed and advise on type of restoration, the cost for the repair and approximate time it will take to complete the work. In the case of bespoke commissions I would require a matching piece or a good photograph. As is the case with French polishing of replacement pieces I shall need an original where possible.

I am fully insured and offer a collection and delivery service. Insurance work undertaken.

I have all the skills, material and tools to lovingly restore your antique furniture. In addition to pieces of antique furniture restoration I also have the ability to carry out work on modern pieces using modern, traditional and contemporary techniques. I also prepare, restore, French polish and make bespoke furniture for two Interior Design Shops.

Most of my business comes from recommendation and repeat business which speaks volumes for my expertise in the restoration and bespoke business.
